Reducing these jolts helps to protect the towing vehicle's driveline, hitch assembly, and trailer contents. When installed, the hitch pin block is locked in a fixed position within the receiver tube. The hitch bar and ball mount slide forward and backward as determined by the towing load, compressing the polypropylene cushions as needed.
